The Dorper range was inspired by the concept of producing a ‘village wine’—a simple yet quality-focused bottling, much like you find in Burgundy. This Pinotage, made in tiny quantities (less than 3,000 bottles), is sourced from old vines in the Stellenbosch region and made by Reg Holder with a light touch and a clear sense of place.

Pinotage, a South African original created by crossing Pinot Noir and Cinsault, often surprises when handled thoughtfully. This is a fresher, more elegant take on the variety—red fruit and floral aromas lead into a palate of dark berries, cranberry, and a subtle savoury edge. Fine tannins, gentle oak, and a clean, dry finish make this a seriously refreshing interpretation of the grape.
