Storage layout and organization

The main compartment runs 9.5" deep and holds the helmet body, with the 2.5" lid providing additional depth for the face shield or chin cup. Four webbing straps with hook-and-loop fasteners inside the lid lock the helmet in place during transport so it does not shift. A 10" x 7" mesh pocket on the inside of the lid stores small items or a spare CS/CN gas filter. The lid also carries a clear ID pocket and a 1.5" x 6" loop fastener panel for a name tape or unit patch.
