802.11ac Wave 2 Multi-User Performance

The primary advantage of deploying the FlexHD is its implementation of advanced Wi-Fi 5 Wave 2 technology, which radically improves data handling compared to older Wave 1 hardware:

• 4x4 MU-MIMO Stream Capacity: Features a high-capacity 4x4 spatial array on its primary 5 GHz radio band. This allows the access point to transmit data to multiple laptops, mobile phones, and terminal clients concurrently, cutting multi-user wait states and data congestion.

• Dynamic Mesh Backhaul: The radio architecture is natively optimized for wireless mesh deployment. If physical network copper runs are missing, multiple FlexHD units can self-heal over the air, building a high-throughput 4x4 spatial bridge to transport data back to the core network switch.

• All-Surface Deployment Toolkit: Out of the box, the UAP-FLEXHD includes a multi-use mounting kit. This allows field engineers to configure the unit for simple desktop standing, flush wall mounting, structural pole strapping, or recessed ceiling insertion (using the optional ceiling adapter sleeve, sold separately).

• Weatherproof Exterior Barrier: Built with a rugged, industrially sealed plastic shell certified for heavy outdoor use. It easily handles rain, dust ingress, and sub-zero outdoor locations down to -30°C and up to 70°C.

• Standard 802.3af Low-Voltage Supply: Runs efficiently off standard auto-sensing active 48V Power over Ethernet (802.3af) feeds, drawing a peak power maximum of 10.5 Watts under high multi-user stress.

Full Standalone Power Inclusion: Unlike larger corporate multipacks, this standalone single-pack completely includes a 48V, 0.32A Gigabit PoE adapter injector and matching UK power cord inside the box. This allows for immediate standalone configuration or direct deployment alongside unpowered non-PoE network switches right out of the box.
