The pair of trousers forms part of Good Good Good’s ‘Unsung Heroes’ Capsule Collection, which pays tribute to the Springboks’ 1995 Rugby World Cup victory. The trousers feature construction techniques borrowed from the brand’s Strip-Stripe Capsule, where offcuts are selected by hand and cut down to strips, before being sewn together two at a time, then ironed straight, before adding any more. Eventually, the sheet of Strip-Stripe fabric is large enough to cut the panels of the trousers from. These trousers are inspired by the colours of the 1995 French rugby kit, and feature embroideries of Philippe Benetton’s number 4 and Good Good Good’s RWC logo, all illustrated by Yay Abe.
