Fierce and passionate, Sekhmet is the Egyptian lioness goddess of the Sun. Bright and terrible, she protected the Pharaoh in battle. Originally she was a war goddess of Upper Egypt poised against Bast who ruled Lower Egypt of the Nile Delta. When Upper Egypt ultimately prevailed, Sekhmet the lioness prevailed over the cat goddess who became Bastet.

The ingredients in Sekhmet oil make it the color of carnelian, the blood-red stone sacred to her. It is very rich with dry, bight desert scents, including real Acacia oil and true Neroli. Sekhmet is bright and powerful, a goddess of royalty, and so her perfume oil is also befitting of a Queen. Wear it to bring out your fierce feminine authority. Sekhmet oil is made on sunny Sundays just after the Full Moon.
