This Shabat Guitars Lion JD is built around a 24 3/4” scale length, offering a familiar, slightly slinkier feel that encourages expressive, fluid playing. Finished in AGD Gold with a contrasting black back, it balances classic elegance with modern boutique refinement, letting the craftsmanship speak without excess flash.

The all-mahogany construction delivers a warm, focused midrange with excellent note bloom, while the medium C neck profile and 12” radius make the guitar feel immediately comfortable and natural in the hands. Chords stay full and articulate, single notes have weight and clarity, and bends come easily with a smooth, broken-in response.

This example is currently fitted with Castedosa TS Hum-Buckers, wound by Carlos Lopez and Stephanie Lopez. These are a high-quality aftermarket upgrade that pairs beautifully with the guitar’s construction, offering rich harmonic content, clarity, and touch sensitivity across a wide dynamic range. The guitar was originally built with Lollar pickups, and the Castedosa set represents a thoughtful tonal alternative rather than a replacement of lesser quality.
