Tamarillos are one of those fruits people either grew up loving… or have absolutely no idea what to do with 😅 Either way, now’s the time to get stuck in while the NZ tamarillo season is at its best.

With a sweet/tart flavour, tamarillos sit somewhere between a tomato, passionfruit, and berry. Scoop them out with a spoon and a sprinkle of sugar, slice them into salads, cook them down into chutneys, or pair them with cheese and roast meats if you’re feeling fancy. They’re bold, tangy, and packed with flavour.

This 2kg box may include fruit with skin scarring, uneven shapes, or lighter colouring than you might be used to seeing in supermarkets… but they’re still beautifully delicious and exactly the kind of fruit we love supporting.
