The Greenland Dog, the unsung hero of the Arctic. Without this dog breed, the settlement of Greenland would have been impossible. All pictures are from regions beyond the Arctic Circle, where Greenland dogs are still essential for the survival and culture of the Greenlanders. Photographer M. Zwick spent many summers and winters in Greenland to portray the landscape, the culture and the dogs of this unique region.
