From hot-lapping groomers at Arapahoe Basin to navigating the backcountry tree runs of Red Mountain Pass, Atomic's Bent 100 (formerly Bent Chetler 100) has nothing left to prove as an all-mountain, quiver-of-one freeride touring ski. Toss on pins, mount the hybrids, throw on straight-up alpine bindings; the do-everything Bent 100 will master it with aplomb.
Designed by legendary powder-smasher Chris Benchetler and the rest of the Atomic Freeski team, the Bent 100 is basically a slimmed-down version of Chris's signature ski, the Bent Chetler 120. To wit, the team trimmed down the waist to a versatile 100mm, while maintaining HRZN Tech in the tip and tail for increased surface area - a generous 10% gain - and surfing prowess. A poplar Light Woodcore couples with Atomic's Powder Rocker to provide a snappy ride with stability to boot.
Jeez, we're really digging into the flattery here, but there's really no choice. This ski feels light, responds like a text-happy best friend, and remains playful across variable terrain. Speaking of which, when you hit that harder snow you'll thank those Dura Cap Sidewalls and the attendant edge grip and power transmission.
Seriously, you can take this ski anywhere. If you're on the hunt for a single ski this year...stop drilling, you've struck oil...
