Replacement car audio

facia to enable you to change the original radio in the car to a double din

aftermarket version.

Steering wheel control interface and adapter cable for Mercedes CLS

W219, E Class W211 and SLK R171 cars to fit an aftermarket radio upgrade.

The cable adapts from

the Quadlock connector in the car to standard aftermarket ISO connectors. This

replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable.

The CANbus steering

wheel control interface is built in to the adapter cable for a plug and play

installation

This interface will

allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the

new aftermarket radio. The interface will work the volume and track skip

buttons.

The CANbus interface

will also provide ignition, illumination, reverse gear, handbrake and speed

pulse outputs.

This interface is

supplied with a universal patch lead. This links the steering control interface

to the steering wheel control input on the back of the new stereo.

NOTE: This interface is

only suitable for cars with original basic NTG1 radios. Cars with the upgraded

COMAND APS NTG1 radio will require a different interface.

Cars with original harman/kardon amplified audio systems will require an additional item to

retain the audio with the original amplifier.

MOST fibre optic interface designed to retain the use of the original

fibre optic audio amplifier (Mercedes Audio Gateway or harman/kardon amplifier) in

Mercedes CL, CLS, E Class, SL and SLK cars to allow the fitting of an

aftermarket radio upgrade.

The interface connects at the back of the radio, it takes the phono

audio output from the new radio and converts it to a digital signal that works

with the original MOST fibre optic amplifier in the car.

Mercedes S 04-06

Mercedes SL 03-08

Mercedes CL 04-05

NOTE: if the car has speaker wiring in the Quadlock connector then it is

NOT a fibre-optic amplified system and this interface is not needed.

Fitting advice

Please

note this fitting kit will only allow the use of UK branded radios any Chinese

or unbranded Radios are not guaranteed to fit. Depending on the vehicle the

aperture of the hole in the facia can be either 182mm x 113mm or 182mm x 103.
