Our Star Wars  Archive Collection’s newest replica is the mixed-media, Tooth Face, part of our work creating authentic replicas with impeccable lineage.

Later known as “J’Quille” the Whiphid alien, our team crafted a faithful recreation of this concept for a classic Star Wars: Return of the Jedi creature that lurked the halls of Jabba the Hutt’s palace.

The extremely limited Legacy Edition of just 50 pieces goes beyond a signature edition to provide each owner with a truly unique work-of-art. Each maquette in this Legacy Edition will include a premium expanded plaque including a one-of-a-kind color illustration of the creature, hand-drawn by original sculptor and Oscar-winning creature designer, Chris Walas, who sculpted the original maquette for the film’s production. The included 3 5/8” wide sketch comes beautifully matted within an 5”x7” frame that also houses a hand-numbered metal nameplate, hand-signed by Walas. That frame can either stand on a table top or hang on a wall.

This particular sculpture was made while the creature team was exploring what aliens might look like for the film.  With hands-on access to the original film artifact, high resolution 3D scanning and carefully matched faux fur, our team crafted a faithful recreation of this early concept for the classic character. At approximately 6″ tall (including the wood display base), each solid-resin maquette is meticulously hand painted in multiple layers and then fur is hand-applied by the artists in our New York studio, making each a unique tribute to the artistry involved behind the scenes of our favorite films!

The maquettes are hand packed in a gloss black box with die-cut foam insert and COA, and double-boxed for shipping.
