He made his debut in 1973 with Jackson Browne and others as the first artist signed to Asylum. This is his first album for Columbia. Produced by Steve Cropper, who had participated in many sessions with the famous soul group Stax, Doheny's soul-oriented music is skillfully cooked up into a small, stylish work. Glenn Frey & Don Henley of the Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, and J.D. Souther join on the chorus, as well as a young David Foster (p). The striking cover photo is by Mosha Braca, known for his work on Boz Scaggs' "Silk Degrees. (1976 work)
