The K550 is the biggest in the Koala family. With a 20mm hardox chassis and 50mm hardox arm, the Koala 550 is no doubt the king of the Koala’s.

The K550 is one of the most heavy duty tree shears you’ll come across, weighing 1600kg. This heavy chassis ensures that it is stronger, more resilient and robust than anything else in its market category. The K550 is simple to use, connect the tree shear to the excavators hammer lines and you will have full control of the tree shears powerful hydraulic ram.

A key feature of the Koala Tree Shear design is the replaceable blade in the event it gets damaged in extreme use. Another important feature is the bolt on hitch allowing you to switch the Tree Shear onto other Excavators. Having the bolt on hitch also gives you the option to use the Tree Shear on other machines such as telehandlers, skid steers, and cranes.

First in the Koala Family

The K400 was the first of the Koala family. Built back in 2014 this is the original design in our Koala range. With a 15mm hardox chassis and 40mm hardox arm, the K400 has come a long way. Power is not an issue with this Koala, with a biting force of over 3 times more than that of the K200.

With a purposefully built heavy chassis, the K400 is one of the heavy duty tree shears you’ll come across, weighing 758kg. This heavy chassis ensures that it is stronger, more resilient and robust than anything else in its market category. The K400 is simple to use, connect the tree shear to the excavators hammer lines and you will have full control of the tree shears powerful hydraulic ram.

Our most versatile tree shear in the range

The K300 will operate on the vast majority of excavators and is ideal for small and large scale operations. Our K300 is perfect for clearing and maintaining forestry land. With its 12mm hardox chassis, the K300 is the ideal attachment for ripping through agricultural hedges and trees.

Like all MDE tree shears, the Koala 300 comes with a full hardox chassis, blade, and arm. The Koala 300 is equipped with a powerful hydraulic ram, and it makes it easy to clap onto trees and take them away. This tree shear is intended for mid-range to larger machines and can cut up to 300mm/12 inches.

The K200 is extremely strong.

With a 10mm hardox chassis and a massive biting force of over 47ton, our K200 is no toy! The K200 is the perfect choice for trimming limbs, bushes on roadside verges, clearing lanes and roadways through a forest. Easily operated and featuring a powerful shear arm, this makes our K200 a great choice for small scale users.

It may be small, but it's mighty!

Although small in stature the K150 Tree Shear should never be underestimated, this is a very powerful little tree shear. The K150 is an ideal attachment for use in the utility sector, as well as forestry thinning. The K150 small size and well thought out design makes the shear a good choice for small excavators. Weighing only 104kg it still has an impressive 6”/ 150mm cutting diameter.

Our Koala 150 tree shear is a powerhouse. It’s made for smaller jobs where smaller trees need to be removed. The 150 takes a firm grip of the tree, then the hydraulic ram pushes the cutting edge against the trunk and cuts through it.
