Since its foundation, Selle Italia has invested in research and development because it knows that only through innovation can growth happen. Last summer, it implemented Green-Tech technology: a production process that allows the creation of low environmental impact, eco-sustainable products, with rapid production and competitive costs. It is an automated system, developed entirely in Italy and unique worldwide, that produces high-quality saddles without using adhesives and polyurethane, substances with a high environmental impact.

The first saddle made with this production process represents an absolute novelty because it assembles three components mechanically and without the use of polluting adhesives. In fact, for the saddle production, Flex Control technology was used, a special structure composed of two elements with different flexibility, capable of ensuring superior comfort and greater durability compared to similar products on the market. The third component is the rails in FeC Alloy, a high-strength and flexible iron-carbon steel alloy.

The technical features of the Model X Green Superflow saddle include Total Gel padding (with integrated antibacterial treatment) that completely covers the saddle structure surface, and the waved shape, which makes it ideal for cyclists who prefer to maintain a stable position on the saddle, even during long rides. Additionally, following the idmatch system and thanks to its waved shape, this saddle is particularly suitable for those with a posterior pelvic tilt.

Completely Made in Italy, an important element for the Treviso-based company, especially considering the issues that arose last year in the cycling supply chain. Moreover, with this latest creation, Selle Italia secures a position increasingly close to eco-sustainable production, to meet the needs of those who care about the environment but at the same time seek performance and comfort at a competitive price.

*Thanks to Idmatch Smart Caliper technology, Selle Italia offers 6 size variants divided into two groups: S1, S2, S3 – L1, L2, L3.
Regarding sizes, S saddles are all quite narrow, with a seating width from 131 to 136 mm, while L saddles range from 145 mm to a maximum of 150 mm.

The number associated with the size (1, 2, or 3) identifies the presence or absence of the central cutout (Flow technology): a special anatomical cut that allows pressure relief at the seating point, ensuring excellent comfort thanks to greater flexibility in the central part of the saddle.

Models S1 and L1, suitable for cyclists without significant pelvic rotation, do not have the central cutout and therefore do not need to relieve pressure and friction created on the saddle.

Saddles S2 or L2 have a small central cutout and are suitable for cyclists with moderate pelvic rotation who produce pressure and friction during pedaling: factors that together increase temperature at the seating point and can create critical conditions and physical discomfort.

The third size - S3 or L3 - refers to saddles with a large central cutout, recommended for cyclists with high pelvic rotation, who create a lot of pressure and friction on the saddle surface.

With size 3, saddles with SuperFlow technology, meaning an even larger central cutout, are also available for cyclists who prefer a more comfortable feel.
