A very striking William IV open armchair with superb bobbin turned back and arm supports. This antique oak armchair is raised on sturdy bobbin legs which terminate with the original ceramic castors. The arm rests are gently shaped for support. The chair has feather filled cushions with removable covers in a linen type fabric, the warm raspberry shade looks very dramatic against the wooden frame. The seat cushion sits on a leather base which adds to the comfort and appeal of this beautiful and very decorative antique armchair. This striking 19th Century bobbin chair is in excellent condition, sound and stable and ready to place in any interior, either traditional or modern.
